finished this a while ago, just haven't gotten around to photographing it. took a long time not hollow ground like the last one but it was alot more steel to work on. the handle/ sheath are ironbark just cut 2 strips and glued them together for the sheath, the handle was drilled out and the tang was glued in with areldite. made from a file, and yes it's pretty sharp it's sort of hard to see but there is a feathered pattern on the blade. i did it with the 400grit sanding belt
Awesome how do you do it with a belt sander and just shape and remove stock, I say just...but it is a lot harder than just "just" Ha ha Ha awesome looking double edge you got going here and it looks like you could conceal this as a baton or something...awesome work my friend, awesome
yeah i used an angle grinder at first but then it's all bench grinding, and then with the belt sander in the bech grinder. it can be tedious trying to keep the steel from overheating and losing its hardness.... alot of dropping it back into water nad doing a bit more, grinding cooling grinding coolling etc. after about 5 hours you get this
What's it for though? Looks like a longer version of this hunting knife I used to have, but I can't see that length of blade being too practical for skinning/cleaning game :-/
But that's great work!

Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it. Each day we will feature 5 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article.
In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
